Today was a very busy, but fun, day!!
Dropped Rachel off at school and then Eli, Kate and I headed up to visit our friends Meghan and Jayden in Greenville. We had a lot of fun! Was so nice to catch up. Jayden and Kate had fun smiling at each other! They are about 5 months apart in age... Kate is older than Jayden. Although, Jayden I think is bigger now. : ) Eli had fun, too... I think. I think he missed having Rachel around and Laney, the dog, was also gone for the day. They usually have fun playing catch on the steps. Laney has trained Eli how to play the game... it's cute.
Here are some pictures of the little kids. Eli was not interested in getting his picture taken.
[LOVE his smile!]
[love how Kate is looking at Jayden here]
From there we stopped at the mall to do some shopping. Had to get a birthday gift for someone... so excited about what I found. : ) Then off to get Rachel from school.
On our way to get Rachel I saw the truck in the picture below. I said, "Eli, look at that guy in the back of that truck. That doesn't look safe to be standing in the back like that, does it?" Thinking he'd simply say that the guy wasn't real, he surprised me by replying, "Mom, how do you know he's not kneeling?" I said, "Oh, you think he's kneeling and not standing?" Eli replied, "Yes." I said, "And, you think that would be safe?" Eli said, "Yeah." I said, "I don't think that would be safe either." That was our conversation. It's funny to get conversations going over something so simple and really not even necessary. Love to see what they come up with!
After getting Rachel we went right to Cara's house to visit her. She hasn't seen the kids in awhile, so they were all very excited for the visit!! We did chalk, puzzles and the kids got to use her awesome swiffer vacuum/duster thing! They LOVE it!! Jason made the comment that Rachel could come over every week and dust their floors for $5.00. I said that she gets so excited about it that she would come without the offer of money! So, we then decided the offer should maybe be... Rachel would give Cara and Jason $5.00 to come to their house and use their swiffer thing! That's how much she loves it... she'd probably pay them to use it!! Too funny! : )
Thank you also to Jason for making us pizza for supper! So sorry to have to eat and run!
Here are some pictures of the fun with chalk... LOVE them. : )
I also bowled tonight... not good, but have to share something very crazy that happened. In my second game I left the 2-4-8-10 split in the first frame I think it was. I got lucky and picked it up!!! The next frame I left the same thing... very odd to leave again. And, the funny part is I picked it up again! A couple frames later... left it again, and yes... picked it up for the third time in the same game! I find it crazy that I left it three times in one game and the fact that I picked it up each time tells you luck was on my side! Too bad I didn't use that luck to get a good score! Ended up not bowling very well... but, did have fun. : )
...keep smiling! : )

Love the pictures with Kate, thanks!
