Friday... Pop-tart Day!

First words I heard from the kids this morning... "Mom, It's Friday... Pop-tart Day!"  The kids love pop-tarts, but I don't feel they should have every morning for breakfast, so we named Friday... "Pop-tart Day" in this house!  It's been working pretty well. : )

We got to spend the day with Olivia again. : )  She was wonderful as usual!  Her and Kate love looking at each other.  Can't wait until they can actually play... and I know Rachel is excited for them to play Barbies with her, too!

We also had another showing this morning.  So, I put the kids to work... Kate scrubbed the floors, Eli vacuumed and Olivia dusted.  They all did great!  Okay, really, they were actually wonderful as I finished up some of the last touches after dropping Rachel off at school.  All I know is I ate way too many chocolate chip cookies today!  I try to make for every showing or open house.  They are just the break apart and bake kind... the easy route.  I should have counted how many cookies I've made in the last year... wait, I think I'm glad I don't know!

A couple of Kate's new tricks...

Kate blowing bubbles with her lovely spit... she just figured this out today!

Kate doing "kiss," that Papa taught her yesterday!
She has to warm up with her famous "bob-bob-bob-bob..."

Eli and I played P-I-G, D-O-G and C-A-T (you know, short versions of HORSE) using our little basketball hoop in the living room.  I was telling Mike about it.  Mike asked Eli who won and Eli said "Mom won all the games."  Normally that would be really mean of a Mom to beat their child in all games, but he beats me in EVERY other game we play... so, I wasn't going light on him! : )

We tried some aged cheese (not even sure what kind it is... I think Parmesan) that we had in the fridge this evening.  First Mike and Eli teased Rachel and told her it smelled really good... so, she smelled it and of course it was terrible.  Mike and Eli gave a high-five and said "that was a good one."  Rachel's feelings were hurt and she ran crying in her room.  I had to explain to her that they were just teasing and that if she didn't like it she should simply tell them that what they did hurt her feelings.  She did that and then things were okay... at least until later this evening, but we won't go there! ; )  I smelled the cheese and my comment was that it smelled like smelly feet and Mike agreed.  Eli, however, had a different idea... he said, "No, it smells like a dirty belly-button!"  I fell on the floor laughing... hilarious!  Guess we better put more focus on cleaning his belly button!!

Kate didn't get a nap this afternoon and as you can see she ended up falling asleep in her high chair.  Love it!

Also, I forgot to include this in yesterday's post... Rachel found a heart-shaped carrot during supper!

Keep smiling! : )
