ned, ted and fred

We have some house guests for the next several days.  They are the pets from Eli's classroom: Ned, Ted and Fred... the salamanders.  We offered to watch them over spring break.  Eli is very excited to keep their bedding wet (he is doing below) and also to feed them crickets.  I have them in Eli/Rachel's room and they think that's pretty neat!  Ned, Ted and Fred might get to go on a field trip this weekend though... hoping Nani and Papa don't mind!  We have a showing and an open house and I'd rather not have the smell of salamanders in our house. ; )

Rachel is having her sleepover with Aunt Christy on Saturday... she can't wait!  This morning when we were talking about the big event Rachel said, "Christy is so nice."  It was said with so much meaning.  She is already writing her list of things to bring along for her big day!  Thanks Aunt Christy!

We made two people smile today!  Rachel and Eli have been constantly looking out the window to check on the snowmen... they are both leaning so much - can't believe they're still standing!  This morning as Rachel was looking at them a couple walked by and she said they were looking at the snowmen and smiling.  Yeah... we made people SMILE today!! : )

It was a fairly nice day today, so we were able to get out for a walk!  Felt so good to get some fresh air!!  I cannot wait until Spring!  We had the whole crew with us on our walk.  It was me, Rachel, Eli, Kate, Maggie, Sparkles, Carly and Eli's dog.

The kids also went with Mike to the Laconia basketball game at FDL High this evening.  Sounds like it was a packed house, so a lot of standing.  Laconia lost, but the kids made it through the entire game.  Rachel has fun watching the cheerleaders and Eli really enjoys watching the game.  We usually only let them have popcorn for a snack at the games, but tonight they got to share M&M's... they were pretty excited about that!  It's the little things they get so excited about and appreciate so much... love that!
