great weekend for all

This weekend was a great one!  Every person in our family had something very exciting and fun to do or celebrate...

Eli: Had a birthday party with his school friends at Do-It-All Sports on Saturday.
He had a blast... I know that because when we left his hair was wet!  That boy sweats like crazy!  But, it's a good gauge to measure how much fun he's having. : )

Rachel: Had her birthday sleepover with Aunt Christy!
They went to Gnomeo and Juliet in Oshkosh and then had supper at... Rachel's favorite place... McDonald's.  Yes, she's a cheap date!  [Christy, I'm so sorry you had to go to that place.  I know you were hoping to go to someplace a little more appetizing. : )]

Quote from Rachel: "Boys drool when girls walk past them sometimes."  This is the one quote Aunt Christy documented, but she said Rachel was saying funny things one right after the other... I can only imagine the things she said!  The kids really do say so many things each day that make me smile... it's just amazing!

Rachel called me about 8:00pm during her sleepover and asked if I could send her a picture of Kate in the morning.  She said she missed her.  What a sweet big sister.  We definitely also missed Rachel while she was gone.  It was definitely more quiet without her around... but, I missed her loud, non-stop talking.   Here are the pictures we sent to Rachel Sunday morning per her request.

[Kate - still sleeping...]

[Kate saying "hi" to Rachel]

[Eli showing Rachel the pirate things he got from his birthday party]

Eli definitely missed Rachel when she was gone.  He stayed up pretty late and I told him that I bet he stayed up later than Rachel.  He asked what time it was and I looked and told him 9:21pm.  He wanted me to help him remember that, so he could tell Rachel.  He was pretty proud.  I did find out from Christy that Rachel went to bed at 8:45pm, so Eli was up later. : )

Kate: Celebrated her 10-month birthday on Saturday.
I CAN'T BELIEVE she's already 10 months old! Really, where did the time go?  Her personality is definitely really starting to come out, which is so much fun.  BUT, I don't want her to grow up so fast!  It's hard to believe we'll be planning her one-year birthday party soon...

Shauna: Completed a 10 mile run.
I'm still on track to complete a half marathon mid-April. : )

Mike: Got to try his first batch of home-brewed beer on Saturday evening with some good friends.
It tasted good and they discovered it did have alcohol in it... haha! : )

We had an open house today... people did come through, which is exciting.  Maybe something will come out of it - you just never know.  Keeping our fingers crossed.  Good thing about having the open house is there is no cleaning for me to do tomorrow! : )  [there is always wash though!]

We had a very nice supper at Grandma and Grandpa's today.  Christy and Olivia were there, too.  Good memories!

We enjoyed:
...some cute laughs from Olivia (most were her inhale laughs, so cute)
...having fun listening to Eli continuously mention "eyeballs"
...Rachel trying to tell us a story about Maggie (the real dog) and Maggie (the stuffed animal)
...Kate learning to point to the light and the fan (and her adorable poop-face... sorry Kate, we think it's cute)

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful week... can't wait!! : )
