upcycling class and other pictures

Nate: little fuzzy mohawk
Nate had a bath today and his hair had a little mohawk going on.  Rachel loved it and wanted to take some pictures.  So, here they are.  His hair is so fuzzy when it's freshly washed... love it!  Thanks Rachel for taking the pictures. : )

Rachel: Upcycled Kreations
Rachel took a class offered through the Rec Dept called Upcycled Kreations.  They made "something out of nothing" for an hour Monday through today.  Rachel really enjoyed this - so glad I signed her up for it.  Here are pictures of the things she made...

[necklace including some beads she made from paper]

[robots... made with all sorts of things - love these!]

[they also made these letter blocks.  they melted crayons to make all the dots.  she has four more letters to go...]

Nate: Rolling over all the time!
Nate rolls over now the second I lay him down on his back.  It's even a challenge to change his diaper... fun, fun!  Then he can't figure out how to get back on his back.  So, he usually will hang out on this tummy for awhile and then fuss until I roll him back over.  Then repeat, repeat, repeat... : )

[this is about a half day (not even) after his bath - greasy hair already]

[thought this picture was cute of Nate and Kate]

[Kate getting ready to give Nate a kiss...]

[and, her delivering the kiss to Nate's forehead]

[not sure what this look is... : )]

Kate was running around with the nerf gun tonight...

[cute action shot]

[looks like she means business here]

I don't think we even know what busy is yet...
Eli had t-ball tonight and Rachel had gymnastics.  So, Mike took Eli to t-ball and I took Rachel and the other kids to gymnastics.  Worked out well.  Not sure what we'll do when we have four kids involved in things... yikes!!

Eli: T-ball continues
Eli loves going to t-ball.  Can't wait for next year - when hopefully they'll play some games.  They practice a lot of the fundamentals this year, which is good.  But, I think Eli's ready and excited to play!

Rachel: Gymnastics continues
Rachel loves gymnastics.  She is learning so much in such a short amount of time!  She is taking class at the Oshkosh Gymnastics Center with some other girls from the Skippers.  They are almost done with their class.  I think I'm going to see if anyone is doing another session.  Rachel needs a place to practice.    I think signing her up for another session will be cheaper than buying a ton of gym mats!  I'm so afraid she'd going to try to do something she's been practicing on the grass or something.  She still needs mats for some of the things she's learning... and hasn't yet perfected.  Makes me nervous!

Neglecting my Kids? kind of
The house was getting out of control... needed to be picked up badly and also cleaned well.  It's been so nice out and the kids want to be outside all the time... that is when we're not running around.  It gets hard to get stuff done inside.  Today I pretty much made them stay inside, so I could get some stuff done.  Felt bad and like I was neglecting them... but, the disaster of a house was really driving me nuts.  I have a little more to finish up tomorrow, so unfortunately I'm going to have to keep them busy inside for awhile again.  Guess it just has to be done every once in awhile during the Summer.  Would be nice if we'd have a couple rainy days... then I wouldn't have to feel bad about keeping them inside on a sunny day.  But, if I wait for that I might go nuts!

Excited for new baby!
I delivered a baby swing, bouncy seat, some leftover small diapers, lots of little onsies and some other things to my sister tonight.  I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my newest little niece or nephew.  Should be about two weeks - or maybe earlier. : )

Keep smiling!
