Brewers vs. Marlins 7.3.12

I got tickets for our entire family to go to a Brewers game yesterday and I was so excited for it!  Unfortunately, the weather was expected to be in the upper 90s.  I just didn't want to miss the game, but knew it was too hot for Kate and Nate for sure.  Decided to see if we could find someone to watch them (thanks Mary!), so we could take Rachel and Eli.

This was the temperature when the game first started... yikes!  It pretty much stayed the same temperature the entire game.  It was HOT!!  The kids had little water-spraying fans, which helped... but, we were still all very sweaty!

We brought in some snacks and water, which really helped the budget.  I never realized you could bring in food.  How nice is that?!!  Next time I'll even bring in more stuff.  The food is so expensive there.  It is fun to get some things though, so the kids got a Slush Puppie and a pretzel.  They were pretty excited about both.  They wanted cotton candy, but after walking around for a bit without seeing any they decided to get a pretzel instead.  Of course, they came by with cotton candy later in the game... oh well.

Here is the scoring breakdown by inning.  What a great game!!!  Because there were 10 innings the first inning isn't showing up here.  But, the Marlins scored two runs in the first inning.  Thought it was going to be a terrible game at the point.  The Brewers picked it up and it was looking really good through the 7th... then things got interesting.  So happy we came away with a win.  Go Brewers!

We'd like to get to at least one more game this year and hoping everyone can make it.  I just love going to games and the kids had fun, too.  Great memories!!
