Rachel is finally able to do butt-jumps while jumping rope. She's so excited about it! I think it's all a timing thing. I think she was always trying to jump too soon and finally has it. I love it when the kids do this... so cool looking and they all look like they're having so much fun when they do it! Here are a couple pictures...
Eli: Baseball
Eli's baseball finally started last night! He's been very excited about it for months! I didn't get any pictures because I was pretty far away from where they were playing last night. Will try to get some pictures next week. He has a new glove and cleats this year... very excited boy!!
Birds: American Redstarts
Here are some birds we saw last week flying around for the first time. We had no idea what they were, but after looking at our bird book and online it appears they're American Redstarts... never heard of them! They are very cute little birds. Neat color and they are crazy active... almost fly like a hummingbird. It was a lot of fun to watch them!
A little story about me getting excited about something little. When Rachel woke up yesterday I told her that I had some exciting news. I warned her and told it was just one of those silly things I get excited about... didn't want her to get too excited about it. :) I told her that erincondren.com, where I got my favorite planner from (which she hears about a lot), also offers address books! Her reaction was, "you're right, that is one of your weird excitements." I will admit... I get excited over silly, very minor things. I'd say that's a good trait, right? Unless you're a kid and hear that I have exciting news all the time, you get excited, and then it's usually nothing. Sorry kids! ; )
Keep smiling!
