Last official day of "Summer Break"

Today was the last weekday the kids had off for Summer.  I'm torn... it's seemed to go fast, but then their last day of school also seemed like a really long time ago.

Lakeside Park
As much as the HUGE laundry pile in our room was driving me crazy and Rachel's drawers really need to be gone through, so I know what clothes she has that fit her for school... we decided to head to the park for a picnic, go on the rides and stop for ice cream.  Much better than laundry. : )

So, yes, I'm very glad we went!  It was a great day to be outside.  And, you know what... the laundry pile was still waiting for me when I got home. ; )

Nate: First Tooth
Today is also a big day for Nate... I can feel his first tooth coming in!! [Mom ~ I beat you for this kid... haha!!!]  It's just a little scratchy when running my finger along his bottom gums.  Very exciting!  Here are some pictures of the drooling boy! No way I could get a picture of the tooth coming through.  You can barely see it... we had a flash light out looking at it. ; )

[he is just so wet these days!  he manages to get everything wet with drool... even his hair!]

He's also rolling all over now.  I can no longer leave him on the floor without checking on him several times a minute.  He can get around quickly for not walking or crawling.  He just rolls.  He also does this kicking thing that makes us laugh.  Had to get it on video. : )
