Brewer Game and Muffins with Mom

[I have a lot to catch up on, so am not proof-reading.  I apologize for any typos!]

Family Brewer Game ~ 5/11/12
For the last several years I have been going to a Brewers/Cubs game with my parents and sister.  My Dad is a big Cubs fan, so it's always a fun time.  This year was no exception.  We always seem to have so many good laughs!

The first good laugh was when Sheri pulled her chair out of the bag and sunflower shells fell out... I mean a lot.  It was so animals bed over winter I guess.  My parents pulled them out of the garage for the game.  Thankfully a critter didn't fall out or get loose in the car.  It was so funny!!

[here we are tailgating with our big bag of assorted chips and candy... love it!]

The game was kind of boring in the beginning, but got better as it went on, and on, and on, and on... haha!  The last game we went to was the night before Eli's birthday party and this one was the night before Kate's party.  I always end up having a lot to do when I get back from the game, but I don't mind.  I enjoy having a reason to stay up super late... weird, I know!  Once the game went into extra innings my mom kept saying that we could leave.  She knew I'd be up late and didn't want to get a super late start.  I said it was fine and I wanted to stay, which I did.  Didn't think it'd go to 13 innings, but I didn't want to give up on it.  So happy they ended up winning... I was happy we stuck around.

For some reason Sheri and I were not focused on the game this year.  We talked a lot, which was so nice!  We joked at times that we had no idea what just happened.  We also had fun discussing players' hair and birthdays.  At one point I was talking about Axford and started to say, "He's such a dirty looking ratty looking..." and Sheri finished my sentence with "RAT!"  We got a good laugh from that.  Plus, she is a lot like me.  Once I get tired it's like I'm drunk.  Everything is so funny and there are times when I just can't stop laughing... a good problem to have.  I LOVE MY SISTER. : )

My family is a pretty shy family and when we saw the camera guy getting closer to our section we started to get nervous.  And, as people around us left... we started to feel very vulnerable.  Sure enough, he came right in front of us and even though we said we weren't interested he put the camera on us and motioned for us to wave.  Felt like the camera was on us for 10 minutes!  I'm not really sure what we all did ~ I think I blacked out from nerves!!  I did cover up my dad's Cubs shirt spontaneously.  I guess you're bound to get on the jumbotron when there aren't many people left at the game!  Good memory that's for sure.

[my lovely parents]

The game ended just after midnight.  It was a five hour and four minute game... crazy!  We joked that we were there on Kate's birthday (Saturday) and hoped we weren't still there for my dad's birthday (Sunday!)  We got home about 2am I think.  The good thing was traffic wasn't bad.

Thanks mom and dad for another fun Brewer game this year!! : )

Muffins with Mom
Also, going to add that I had muffins with mom at Rachel's school Friday morning.  I took all the kids and we had a great time.  What a very nice event!!  Here is a picture of the picture Rachel got of us.  Nate was also there, but hanging out in the stroller. ; )

Keep smiling!!
