Saturday was spent with my family and Sunday was spent with Mike's family. Always nice to spend time with family!

Saturday we had my family at our house. The kids had a great time playing! They were outside most of the time. I thought it was chilly, but they had a blast! Love that they enjoy being outside so much! I tried a couple new recipes for the get together. Not sure what my problem has been lately - really not like me to do anything out of the ordinary!
slow cooker chicken caesar sandwiches
This was good. I had buns as the recipe suggested, but my mom also brought wraps and it was also very good on that. Would make this again.
ultimate chocolate chip cookie 'n oreo fudge brownie bars
This was, well... rich! Holy cow! Having it with ice cream helped, but still very rich! I guess it should be considering each piece had some cookie, some brownie and an oreo!!! Probably will not attempt this one again. Was good, but not worth the $$. Once you add up the ingredients, it's really not a cheap dessert. ; )
My mom also showed my sister and I how to make a scarf from a t-shirt... turned out cool!! I gave the one we made to my sister, but might make another one for myself. I have so many old t-shirts that I just don't wear... have lots of options for this project. Only thing is... I don't wear scarfs. I'll make one just incase I ever feel like wearing one... haha!
Today we went to the Zimmermans' for supper. Another great get together. I got to take the leftover dessert from yesterday, which was nice! Still some left - ugh! Christy and Olivia were also there. I give Christy so much credit!!! She never misses Sunday dinner no matter what she has going on. She got there right from her way back from her god-daughter's first communion in Antigo. Now that's family dedication. Love her for that! It was so nice to see her and Olivia, too. Olivia and Kate are so funny together... such great entertainment!! Rachel and Eli had fun going through some old books that grandma found in the basement. They are very excited to read them. Thanks grandma!
Kate tried corn on the cob for the first time today. She thought she was pretty cool and really liked it!
Keep smiling! : )
