I took the kids to Lakeside Park on Wednesday and it was a lot of fun. That park is so nice and so close. It was a little cool out, so we didn't have a picnic... just hung out for an hour or so. We were on a tight timeline, because I wanted to get Kate home for a decent nap before we went to Oshkosh to celebrate Christy's birthday at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Here are some pictures of the fun!!
[Eli was up here and asked me to take his picture ; )]
[Rachel being a big helper : )]
[Kate is going to be a lot of fun this year... she had so much fun doing down the little slides and wasn't afraid at all. So weird to think that she wasn't even walking last Summer!]
[this tree was in the distance and i made the kids walk over to it, so i could get a picture. love these trees so much - they're just so pretty!]
[smile!]

After the park we went home and the kids rested a bit before we headed to Oshkosh. We stopped at the outlet mall, so I could get Nate a couple more pair of pjs. The poor kid only had two that fit him. He's outgrown the 3 month pjs (awhile ago) and is now in 6 month. The 6 month just fit him now... pretty soon he'll be moving up to the next size. He's just so long!
After that we met Christy and Olivia, Steve and Mary and Patrick's brother Shawn and his daughter and wife at Buffalo Wild Wings. That was Christy's birthday choice! : ) I was a little nervous about taking the kids there. Wasn't sure how kid-friendly it was. Even considered seeing if my parents could watch the kids while Mike and I went to celebrate. But, after checking their menu online it appeared kids were welcome... they had a big kids menu.
It ended up turning out to be a great experience! Mike and I used to love going there before we had kids, but haven't gone there (since one opened in Oshkosh) when we had the kids. We had tables that were against the back wall... in the dining area, but out of the way. That's exactly what you want when you have four kids there! The atmosphere was also very loud... perfect! So, even though Nate cried a few times and I had to take the others to the restroom a total of about five times (Kate pooped twice)... I didn't feel like a distraction.
On our way home I said to Mike, "that was fun!" and I think he thought I was being sarcastic at first, but I was being honest. It was a really nice time. The atmosphere was perfect for the craziness we sometimes bring with us. I definitely want to go there again in the near future. : )

Rachel had a sleepover at her friend Ella's house yesterday. I'll enter a post once she's home and can tell me all about it. She went early afternoon yesterday. Eli also went for awhile yesterday afternoon. Ella's brother is Eli's age and it was the first time we got those two boys together. They had a great time and want to get together again soon. How fun! I'm so happy the kids have friends that live so close... this is going to be so nice as they grow up, too. Love it! So, watch for another post soon about the sleepover ~ from what I know already... the girls kept very busy.

I also have this pretty long video of Kate being funny... it's long, but funny! She put on a lot of miles running around! This all started because her dress got caught when I was going to put her pjs on. What Eli says at about second 29 is funny!
Keep smiling... : )
