It's Fun to Run - 2012

Today the kids ran in the "It's Fun to Run" run at Buttermilk Creek Park.  This is the first year we've gone to this event and it was a lot of fun!  Very well done and free... which I still can't believe.  The kids even got a t-shirt for participating.  I hope to be able to do this a lot more in the future.  A huge thank you to all the sponsors (hope I didn't miss anyone - these were on the certificates we got):

  • FDL Evening Optimist Club
  • Baker Cheese
  • Excel Engineering
  • Hopper's
  • Agnesian Center for Bone & Joint Health
  • FDL Running Club
Here are some pictures of all the fun!!  It was a great day for running... lower 50s and sunny.  But, the park was VERY wet!!  The kids had to run through puddles and mud - which just added to the fun.  It really was a blast!

[and back... so much fun though!]

The Hoffmans also had us over this afternoon for a cookout.  Other than the kids being super crazy it was fun!  They were pretty much nuts.  The more I tried to calm them down the worse it seemed to get.  Thankfully Mike suggested we get a movie for them to watch.  We got Happy Feet Two and they watched that after supper.  Helped a ton!  Then a yummy ice cream treat and time to head home.  Didn't get any pictures... bummer.  But, thanks Hoffmans for a GREAT time!  Pretty soon Nate and Evie will get to play together.  That time will be here before we know it.  : )

Keep smiling!
