[a big thanks to Michelle for having Rachel sleep over... and for having Eli for a couple hours, too!]
[Ella teaching Rachel hockey... Rachel knows nothing about hockey, which I'm sure Ella realized quickly!]
This afternoon we also went fishing on the pond near our house. The kids had fun and even caught some fish! I think we caught five fish, which isn't bad. We really weren't there all that long either. We had a lot of snags, because we just fished off shore and there are a lot of small bushes along the water. But, still very fun and so nice that we could just walk there!
Mike left with Rachel and Eli while I was finishing getting the little ones ready. I left a little after him and on my way got a text from Mike saying "have you seen Maggie?" with a picture of Maggie attached. I didn't think much of it... just thought he wanted me to know Maggie was there with him - assumed they took her along. As I walked further a neighbor saw me walking and asked I was looking for my dog and I said that I thought she was with my husband down fishing. They told me that Maggie was walking through their backyard and was heading away from our house. By then I realized that Maggie must have walked down by Mike and the kids when she was supposed to be staying in the yard... that stinker! Guess the good thing is she took the backyards and not the street. Well, good for her safety, but probably not the best to have our dog wandering through neighbors' backyards. Maggie, Maggie - naughty, naughty.
[It was Kate's nap time, but she just watched and didn't want to nap... that is until we got home]
[making looking very proud and excited that she found Mike, Rachel and Eli]
[Rachel watching her bobber]
[Eli and his fish]
[Kate wasn't sure about the fish... but, when we showed her the second one she showed a little more excitement]
[Rachel and her fish]
[Maggie found a little shade! : )]
