We're Moved!

Well, it's official... we're moved into our new house!  After all the anticipation, it's here and we're loving it so much!

It's really pretty amazing how well everything went.  We moved all our stuff in less than 36 hours thanks to the help of many great friends and family!  We really couldn't have done it in the time frame we had without their help!  I would like to recognize those that helped, because their time was so much appreciated!  Some even took off of work to help us... unbelievable!

Andy Judkins... helped with the big move
Joe Teska... helped with the big move
Josh Smith... helped with the big move
Steve Westphal... helped with the big move
Uncle Joe... helped with the big move

Christy Blessing... helped with the kids

Mike's Mom and Dad... helped with the big move, cleaned, weeded/landscaped, helped watch kids several times and made food
My Mom and Dad... helped with the big move, cleaned, weeded/landscaped, helped watch the kids several times and made food
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

We still have a lot to put away, but we are making progress!  We are anxiously awaiting new carpeting.  The stuff here is not in good shape.  I truly do not understand how carpeting can get so stained and gross.  Poor Kate is not allowed on the floor until we get new carpet and the kids are required to wear shoes or socks when walking on it.  It really is bad... I'm not over-reacting!  Once we get new carpeting we'd welcome guests anytime! : )

The kids are enjoying their new rooms and having their own again.  Eli is handling the transition better than we were anticipating.  We didn't know how he'd do being alone again, but he's adjusting just fine.  And, Kate... still sleeping great!  Rachel is also doing wonderful.  I think she's been the most excited about her room.  She has a few sticker wall decorations she can't wait to hang up.  I think we're painting the rooms, so told her she should wait until her room is painted.  She's very excited!

Mike has been busy with a lot around the house.  Seems to be one thing after another.  All the electronics are up and running, new faucet, we're able to park two vehicles in the garage (which I didn't think would be possible for at least a month) and the burn pile that was left to us is gone.  The yard is very nicely landscaped, but everything was over-grown and weeds were all over.  We've been attacking and are making progress... thanks again to the help of our parents.  My Dad came over this afternoon to drop off a hedge trimmer and before we knew it he had it fired up and was trimming.  My Mom showed up after work to help with more weeding... and was here until almost 9pm!  Thanks so much!!

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures at all during the move.  Wish I would have taken some before and after of the yard especially.

My Mom can give a great testimonial for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser... she went through about six of them I think while cleaning the kitchen cabinets and trim and doors throughout the house!  They really are amazing, I have to agree with her! : )

Abby and Ryan's Birthday Party - Saturday
We were very thankful for a reason to stop unpacking and cleaning on Saturday... it was a birthday party for my niece and nephew.  It was a great party and we had a great time!  Great party Sheri! : )

Father's Day - Sunday
Mike got a lot of Father's Day gifts from the kids that they made while they were being watched by family members during our move.  They also bought him a birdhouse from a rummage sale.  It's a funny story... they were going for a walk with Nani and they passed a rummage sale, which they decided to stop at.  They found a birdhouse that my Mom was doing to give to my Dad, but then decided it would be a nice gift for the kids to give Mike.  The kids have to tell everyone that it was first going to be for Papa, but they gave it to Mike... not sure why they think that's so funny!
Thanks Dad for being a great Father.  You're always there to help in anyway you can and have such a great, positive attitude... thanks for everything you do for me and my entire family.  Love you!
Thanks Mike for being such a wonderful Father to our kids!  Thanks for everything you do for me and the kids... we love you!

Kate - Milestones
Drink from a straw: We stopped for lunch and I didn't have a sippy cup packed, so decided to have her try a straw.  She got it right away... and thought she was pretty hot stuff!
Two more teeth: She's been a little fussy, which is unlike her... and sure enough, two more teeth poked through on the bottom.
No, still not walking... but, she's making some progress. : )

Keep smiling! : )
