quick update: so I don't get too far behind : )

Lots of fun over the last several days!  Figured I would do a quick summary of what happened before I got too far behind! : )

Friday 5/27: Eli, Kate and I ran a ton of errands while Rachel was at school.  Maggie had her annual check-up and she's 120 pounds!  We knew she seemed to be getting much wider!  That explains why it's so hard for me to boost her into the back of the Suburban!

Saturday 5/28: Spent most of the afternoon/evening with some good friends!  Mike and Jenny Hoffman came to give Kate her birthday present and just hang out.   Mike H brought over a Home Plate for us to use in our baseball field that Mike cuts in the backyard.  Thanks so much Mike H!!

Sunday 5/29: I ran a short run... just the third time I've run since my half which was over a month ago!  So, all the endurance I built up is pretty much gone... yeah, it's gone.  Bummer.  Thought I could run the Walleye Run this year and it would seem like a short run with all the training I was doing, but looks like that'll not be the case.  Might drop the idea all together... we'll see.  The kids are excited to run though! : )  I took Rachel and Eli for a bike ride.  Rachel had so much fun!!  She didn't want to stop.  We ended up going about five miles.  Great job Rachel!!!  We also had the opportunity to hang out with more friends during the evening and my parents watched the kids.  We had a good time.

Monday 5/30: Went to the Memorial Day Parade with my sister and her family and my Mom.  Was a hot one, but the kids did great and had a good time!  Set up the pool when we got home and they played in there for a long time!

[my favorite line at the parade was from Ryan "Look, Mom, a little Army!"  this was what he said when he saw the boy dressed in camo... so cute!]

This cracked me up!!  A bird must have picked up a piece of Maggie's food and put on the feeder... funny!!

Our baby birds are getting a little bigger.  They wouldn't wake up for a picture, but took one anyway... they're starting to look a little cuter. : )

Tuesday 5/31: Kids played in the pool some more.  They had a blast jumping in over and over and over again!  I made a ton of phone calls to get services cancelled here and set up at our new house.  Alliant Energy had the best service EVER!  When I called the average wait time was 16-22 minutes.  They had a recording saying you could leave your number and name and you'd be called back in the order your call was received.  I went for it and it worked awesome!!  Great job Alliant!!

Keep smiling! : )
