trying to keep up...

Things have continued to be extremely busy here.  I've lost a little bit of my being "on the ball" with what we've been up to.  I'm not very prepared for this update, but feel the need to post something so I don't get too far behind and stop! ; )

So, I really hadn't followed the Royal Wedding stuff at all, but the night before the big event I realized the wedding was actually taking place early on Friday.  I decided that I would get up at 3am and watch the coverage!  Yeah, I'm crazy like that... I set my alarm and everything.  My Mom did the same thing and we were texting throughout most of it.  Didn't really think I'd ever be texting with my Mom at 3am... especially about a wedding for people that I don't even know.  haha!

I was very impressed with the wedding... thought it was beautiful and Kate and William were adorable.  I'm very happy I got up for it.

Rachel was up in time to see their first (and second) kiss.  It was cute to see her watch a real princess.  The kids had some questions to ask about everything.  They were asking me about the balcony.  I guess that word has never come up in our conversations.  Is it bad that I described the balcony as a high deck?!!  Just came out and sounded terrible!

Saturday we were able to spend some time with my cousin and his kids at my grandparents' house.  The kids have so much fun playing together.  Didn't have my camera. : (

Today we were at Grandma and Grandpa's (Zim) house for supper.  Always nice to spend time there.  We had a lot of laughs over supper... most of which I can't repeat.  Grandpa was teaching the kids naughty phrases (not on purpose) and the kids were sharing with Grandma and Grandpa some of the things we say around our house... about Daddy having on his boxers and... blah, blah, blah.  Christy and I were laughing so hard we were crying.  Felt good to laugh that hard... thanks kids!!!

Keep smiling... : )

  1. I hear you, I'm "not on the ball" either. I've struggled to keep up with things the past week. Haven't caught up yet. It must be in the air :)
