Eli and I played what we do almost every day... baseball. He loves playing! He's signed up for tee-ball this Summer and I am actually nervous for him. He is great at hitting an under hand pitch, but hitting off a tee is much different. Hope he adjusts okay. He loves baseball! I felt terrible... he was pitching to me (we use tennis balls when I'm hitting-thankfully) and I hit the ball right at him. Hit him in the arm and then bounced up to his face. He cried, but I made him throw some more pitches to me before we could stop playing. Took a lot of convincing, but I didn't want him to be afraid to pitch after that incident.
I went through some old stuff too - working to declutter as much as I can! Ran across some old notes from me to Mike, which made me smile and also the Save the Date for Sheri's wedding. That brought back some memories. Had no idea I still had that. : )
When Eli, Kate and I picked up Rachel from school we parked a couple blocks away, so Rachel could "walk" home from school, too. We passed a baseball diamond on the way and the bases were out, so I thought it would be fun for Eli to run the bases on a real diamond. He was so excited!! Here is a video of his first two times running the bases on a real diamond.
The kids also played some golf with Dad in the afternoon. Here are a couple short video clips of their lesson.
A very fun day! The plan for today is to work on packing some more... wish me luck!!! : )
