Things have been pretty busy lately with just normal stuff... really haven't done anything super exciting or different and no recent pictures to share. Felt like entering a post tonight and wasn't sure what to really even write about until Eli came in the kitchen and tapped me (now this is almost 45 minutes after initially putting him to bed) asking me, "Mom, is the walleye run before swimming lessons?" He asked in this very worried voice. He's been bringing up swimming lessons a lot lately. I don't even have him signed up, so not sure why he's so worried about it. I replied, "Eli, you're not even signed up for swimming lessons, so don't worry about it. If we do sign you up it won't be until it's cold out again... so, it's going to be awhile. Stop worry about it now. The walleye run is coming up very soon." He answered, "So, the walleye run is before swimming lessons?" I said, "yes." Then he went to bed.
He's brought up swimming lessons a few times over the last several days. I'm not sure why he's so afraid. We had the kids in swimming lessons for a couple sessions over the last couple Winters and Eli was very afraid at first, but got better each time. Looks like when we decide to put them back in lessons it's going to be a challenge for Eli again. Oh boy!

Baby Birds...
A bird built it's nest on the brick on the front of our garage. This was after initially trying to build it's nest inside our garage a couple different times. I'm sure the bird was thinking it was a great place... out of the wind and blocked from the rain. Well, it was good, except for the fact that every time we open the garage door the poor bird gets scared and flies out of its nest. Every time I have to leave or come home I feel so bad!! There were four eggs in the nest at first... two hatched a couple days ago. Then, this morning I looked and there was just one baby bird and one egg. Not sure what happened to the other two baby birds. : ( I didn't notice them anywhere on the ground, but who knows. Makes me so sad. Now there are two baby birds. I'm just hoping the babies stay warm enough with the Mom always flying away each time we open the garage door. Here are a couple pictures... okay, decided against the pictures until they have some more fuzz on them! They look kind of gross right now. Just went out to take a few pictures. The Mom flew away and I pointed the camera in the nest. The birds weren't poking their heads up, so I said "tweet, tweet" and they lifted their heads right up. It was pretty funny! But, downloaded the pictures and they just are not even to the cute stage yet. Hope they have a good couple days, so I can include some pictures in a few days.

Keep smiling! : )
