Earth Week

Earth Week at Rachel's School
Rachel is celebrating Earth Week this week at school.  They have an assignment to do a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Project.  They are to use recyclable items to create a work of art.  They've had the last couple weeks to do, but we forgot about during spring break and the beginning of this week was crazy every evening... finally got her project done tonight.  She had some great ideas... was a lot of fun!

Rachel's Work of Art = a bed for her stuffed animals
Notice the birthday cake headboard, lamp with flame, pillow and quilt. : )

Eli - Construction Lesson
Eli went to his friend's house this morning along with me, Kate and Olivia.  Olivia's first playdate!  She did well and had a lot of fun! : )  There is a lot of construction happening right in front of his friend's house, so the boys had a lot of fun watching it from the front door.  Pretty neat!  I don't think I've been that close to a construction site either... pretty fun to watch.

Kate and McDonald's
Not sure if this is a good day for Kate or not... but, it was her first day having McDonald's.  We had a showing this evening, so the kids and I put a movie in and picked up some McD's to eat in the car.  I thought I had some food packed for Kate, but turned out I did not.  So, she helped me with my cheeseburger and fries.  She seemed to enjoy.  Basically, she had tiny pieces of french fries and bun with some ketchup and cheese on it.  Sometimes we pack a lunch to eat in the car, but tonight it was McD's... mostly because I was in the mood for it... haha! : )

Kate - No Apple
We tried to have Kate taste an apple tonight and she wasn't interested.  Short video clip that makes me laugh.  She's already learning how and when to use her head shaking.  So fun to see her communicating... even if it's mostly just NO. : )

Keep on smiling! : )
