Rachel's Spring Break - Day #1

Rachel was very excited for today, because her friend was coming over in the afternoon to play!  She's been excited about this since last week when we planned it.  This morning the first thing she said was, "Avryl is coming over today!"

We went to pick up Avryl after lunch and Rachel just couldn't wait.  I told her it's important to tell guests where the bathroom is when they get here.  She gave Avryl the tour and was sure to point out the bathrooms... it was so cute.  Then they played Barbies and listened to Kidz Bop almost the entire time.  Eli was also downstairs playing near them.  It was funny to see him almost showing off in front of Rachel's friend.  We know Avryl pretty well, because we give her a ride home from school a lot.  So, Eli wasn't as shy as I was thinking he might be.  It was funny!  Got me wondering what things will be like when the kids are teenagers and bringing friends over...

Here are a few pictures of the friends. : )

[Avryl brought a "Best Friends" purse for Rachel... so cute!]

We got to spend the day with Olivia, too... always fun!  She only napped about an hour total today... but, was still so good!  She's such a happy little girl and her and Kate just love looking at each other.  Will be so fun when they can actually play together.  Right now, I'm very careful not to have them too close if I have to step out of the room for a second... Kate likes to go right for Olivia's eyes!  I need to teach her that it's not nice to tickle-tickle-tickle someone in the eyes!

[love those eyes!]

[she took a half hour nap on the floor while I rubbed her back... so cute! : )]

[Kate works really hard to get the nuk the right way to put in Olivia's mouth.  She also does some of her new head bobs here... makes me laugh.]

Last Friday Eli had his Hoedown at school and had to dress up.  Loved him in his little cowboy getup!  Thanks cousin Ryan for letting him borrow the awesome boots... that was his favorite part! : )

Sure hope we don't get the snow they're predicting... I thought it was Spring!

: )
