The beginning of the day was spent... first by brushing Kate's hair! Then cleaning. Yes, we had an open house today. Why not... wasn't like we didn't have enough going on. : ) The weather was raining and yucky, so we weren't even sure anyone would come through. We were happy to hear there were several couples that came though, so at least we didn't clean for nothing. Keeping our fingers crossed... well, they have been for just over a year... it's getting a bit uncomfortable! ; )
Lunch was at my parents' celebrating my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary! Wow... how awesome is that! Love them so much and had a great time celebrating. Good company, good food and lots of entertainment (mostly from kids)... as usual. : )
Here's a good little conversation...
Rachel comes upstairs and says, "It feels like afternoon snack time!" My Dad, "You know what, Rachel, I think it is." Rachel, "Okay, I'm going to get the boys." Then she hollers downstairs, "Doggies, it's time for snack!" They were playing dog downstairs! They even had the carpet squares set out for the "doggies" to go potty on. Good times... great memories!!

From there we headed to celebrate Christy's birthday. Another very fun get-together with more family... and many reasons to smile. : )
