rearranging bedrooms, Nate walking in onsie, vacation news

Here is a video I forgot to post from a few days ago.  Nate was walking around in just his onsie and was looking pretty funny.  He really has a strut.  Kate also does his hair like Justin Bieber, which is cute.

Rearranging Bedrooms
Yesterday I took the vacuum cleaner upstairs and my plan was to simply vacuum.  Well, that turned into rearranging Rachel's room and putting the desk and computer that was in there in our room.  We have our main computer in the kitchen, but this is our old one that still has MS Word and Excel on it.  We also use it for printing.  Rachel really doesn't use it that much and Mike will sit there if working from home.  Decided it really just cluttered Rachel's room.  So, put it in our room for the time being.  Now Rachel's room looks tons bigger.  There's lots of room for activities!  She was very excited about the change when she got home from school.  Of course, Eli was disappointed his room wasn't rearranged.

Well, today was Eli's turn.  I rearranged his room while they were at school today.  He was also very excited when he got home.  I love to see their excitement over things like this... it's why I do it. : )

[this is Eli's half of the room... it's the bonus room above the garage]

[and, this is the playroom side... although we really don't play up there very much.  basically, a place to put books and toys.]

Two-Hour Delay
The kids had a two-hour delay this morning.  They were very excited!  It was nice not to have to rush around in the morning.  Although, I can tell you... those two hours felt like about five for some reason. ; )

[and this is how the kids kept busy for part of the time... Rachel is writing, Eli is coloring, Kate is dancing and Nate is just moving all over]

Little Vacation... coming up
Mike has a meeting in a couple weeks at the Kalahari.  What a perfect opportunity to take the kids!  We are going to stay two nights and bring Rachel, Eli and Kate.  Nate will stay home with grandparents.  Feel bad not taking him, but it'll just be so much easier not to have him along.  He'll get his chance.

I wasn't sure when to tell the kids about this.  I know Rachel likes to tell everyone everything and wasn't sure if people wanted to hear about it for a month or not.  We held off until yesterday.  We told them during supper that when they were done eating we'd tell them something.  The funniest part of this is Eli's response was, "Please don't say you're having another baby!"  Oh my gosh... I never even thought that - too funny!!  He was dead serious, so I think it's a good thing we're stopping at four. : )

They were very exited once we told them.  We also watched a video on the computer about the Kalahari, which got them even more excited!

We got an Amaryllis for Christmas and it blossomed awhile ago.  Right before the flower fell off I noticed a bud starting to shoot out of the bottom.  Here is the second blossom on the flower... so cool!!

I took a trip to TJ Maxx tonight and found a pillow I just had to get. : )

Keep smiling!
