No pictures, but a funny story...
Tonight at the supper table Rachel was telling us how she had to go to a teacher and tell on a boy that was following Eli and teaching him naughty words at recess. She was very concerned and seemed proud to be taking care of her little brother.
She said they were saying the "B-word" and the "C-word"... Mike and I both cringed when she said "C-word." We both looked at each other like ~ wow, really?! I wasn't so sure Rachel was talking about the really naughty "C-word," but don't think Mike thought about other possibilities. He immediately told the kids that if he heard them say ANY naughty words their mouths would be washed with soap.
I thought a bit more about that "C-word," because I just couldn't believe that was true. I didn't want to ask Rachel to say what the "C-word" was... just incase it really was that word. So, instead, I asked her for the second letter. Her response was... "r," which is what I thought might be the case. She was talking about 'crap.'
Our kids think some pretty harmless words are naughty words. We tell them that just so they don't say some words that we feel aren't nice or necessary. I think if we tell them a word "isn't nice" they automatically think it's a naughty word.
Mike and I looked at each other with a huge sigh of relief!! It looked like a huge weight was lifted off Mike's chest... actually, I felt a ton of relief as well. Never loved hearing "r" so much!
Keep smiling!!!
