This morning Rachel and I were both using our phones/ipods to look at lyrics for Phillip Phillips' song Gone, Gone, Gone while the song was playing so we could sing the entire thing. I love that song!
I explained to Rachel how my sister and I used to do this. I said we had to first listen to our tape, line by line, and write down the lyrics in a notebook. If we couldn't understand the words the first time (which we usually couldn't - since the quality was terrible) then we had to rewind and listen to a few words again. Stop, write down and do it all over... for the entire song. Took awhile, but we did it for many songs. It was always a job to do to get the words all written down, but so worth it when you could sing the entire song when you were done! Although, I think we pretty much learned the lyrics in the process of trying to write them all down. ; )
This is one of my favorite memories as a kid with my sister...
