Pictures
I finally broke down and purchased a cable that allowed me to connect my old hard drive to my new computer. Made it super easy and much, much faster to get my pictures onto my new computer. I had been using Carbonite and it was taking really long... days and days. This was possible, because my hard drive wasn't ruined with my soda spill... just something with the power. So, anyways... all my pictures are finally on my computer!! Yippee! Here are a few of my favorites from the last month.
[kids before the Brewer game : )]
[Kate on way home from Brewer game]
[Rachel - first day of 2nd grade]
[Eli - first day of Kindergarten]
[love how Rachel is looking at Eli here]
[Kate at Little Farmer]
[our poor hummingbird]
[Nate all smiles... as usual]
[Rachel and Eli enjoying some root beer (in a float) that dad made]
[Eli's first lost tooth! This was the one he bumped loose awhile back when playing wii.]
[first tooth lost = $2.00 from tooth fairy]
[a train with only one car/engine... how awesome is that!]
[Kate's new thing is to make piles of stuff... keeps her quite busy!]
[She has also been not interested in napping lately. But, here she fell asleep by one of her piles.]
[the Spies were here one morning to catch the bus with my kids.. they all had a blast!]
[such great friends... love it!]
Hearing/Vision Screening
I was able to help out at school for the vision and hearing screening thanks to Mary who watched Kate and Nate for me. Thanks, Mary. They needed a lot of volunteers to get this task accomplished and I was happy to be able to help. It was also fun to see all the kids go through this exercise. I saw some very cute things... some kids covering up both eyes when we said okay now both eyes ~ meaning look at the chart with both eyes (not with both eyes covered up), kids calling a certain shape anything from a heart to a tooth, many smiles to - some smiles of nerves and others of excitement. The kids were all great!
Nate - Puffs for first time
Here is Nate trying puffs for the first time. Not sure he's ready, but it was pretty funny. And, I'm not even touching the spoon to his mouth most of the time... not sure if it's the smell causing his reaction or the anticipation of the taste/texture. We got a lot of laughs out of this...
Anniversary
Mike and I celebrated our 9-year anniversary yesterday. He surprised me with beautiful flowers and a nice card. We also had the opportunity to go out to supper... my mom watched the kids for us. Thanks, Mom! We went to Trinity and had pizza... so good!! It was only a 12inch and we were both still hungry, so after that we headed to Gillies for some ice cream. It was really nice to get to spend some time together on our actual anniversary. We talked about our wedding day, if we thought we'd be where we are now, how lucky we are to have such great kids... and other things. Loved every second of our time together. I feel so lucky and blessed to be living my dream...
Keep smiling!
