Rachel: Last day of 1st grade

Well, today was Rachel's last day of 1st grade!  I asked her if she was excited this morning and she said she was, but she said it only felt like about the 90th day of school.  She said it went so fast.  I guess that's the sign of a good year!

So, I did remember to get the pictures by the door this morning.  Never fails... we always seem to be rushed in the morning.  Did snap these pictures quickly before heading out the door.  But, I didn't get a picture of Rachel holding the card she made for her teacher... darn.

The kids had a half day today, so we picked Rachel up and then headed to Kelley's Country Creamery.  We had never been there and boy was it good!  We definitely have to make a trip there again sometime.  We hung out there with the Spies kids... the kids had a great time.  They didn't want to separate, so Rachel and Eli ended up going home with them to play for awhile this afternoon.  Was a quiet house here for being the first afternoon of Summer.  Actually felt weird.

[sadly this is the best picture I got of my kids today]

[the kids all had fun rolling down the hill]

[this picture cracks me up!]

[it was pretty much impossible to get them to all pose for a picture... and Kate ran off crying immediately]

[I think this is the best one I got - not too bad]

Hard to believe Summer is here!!!  We start it off with dentist appointments tomorrow morning... probably not good planning on my part.  The kids are okay with it though, because we go to Oshkosh so they get to see Abby and Ryan. : )

Keep smiling!!
