gore anniversary, walleye weekend...

Mike: 3-years with Gore
Friday was Mike's three-year anniversary working at Gore.  Gore is a great company and I'm so happy he's liking his job so much.  Thanks Mike for all you do for me and the kids... we love you!

[Love, all of us]

[I took a picture with Rachel and Eli wearing goggles like this awhile ago... this cracks me up!]

Here is is... wait, I can't find it.  Will post another time when I find it.  It's a good one!

[it looks like Kate just appears out of nowhere!  scary!]

Eli and Kate: Sick : (
I'm not going to go into detail, but Eli was sick Thursday night and Kate caught it Friday afternoon.  Rachel was nervous all day on Friday that she was going to get sick.  We washed our hands a lot and used lots of hand sanitizer!  So far nobody else has caught it... thankfully.

I was signed up for the Walleye Run and so was Rachel, Eli and Kate.  Mike wasn't sure if he was going to run when I mailed in our forms, but had decided to run since then.  The plan was to get him signed up when I picked up our race packets.  He's been running a lot to prepare for the race and unfortunately with the sickness going around he didn't sign up figuring he'd stay back with whoever was sick, since I was already signed up to run.  I would have much rather had him run... but, didn't make sense for him to pay to run and then have my registration be a waste.  So, I ran... feeling really bad.

Originally thought it would just be me and Rachel, but Eli also ended up running.  He and Kate recovered very quickly from their little sick-bug... which was awesome!  Kate had everything she needed to run, but just wasn't up for it.  No big deal.

[water bottles marked with hair-ties, so we didn't spread germs!]

[Ella with Abby and Rachel in the back... GO ELLA!]

[Way to go Eli... 19th place in the 1/3 mile for boys 6 and under ~ not bad for just recovering from the flu. : )]

[love these shoes she got from my parents for Christmas]

[lots of emotions in this picture... we're trying to convince the girls it'd be fun to run]

Christy ended up convincing Olivia to run, but I couldn't get Kate to get excited about it.  Since she wasn't feeling 100% I decided to just take her back to the stroller and not make her run.  Here she is running her little run to the stroller... wasn't thrilled about that either.

[Alayna and Olivia finishing the race... great job girls!!!]

Also, want to say CONGRATS to Christy for finishing the 2-mile run!!  Way to go... I knew you could do it!!! : )

[think they're getting too big for this ride... at least too big to go together]

[they were great at Walleye Weekend... we're so lucky with how good these kids are]

JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!
Rachel was told on Saturday, by Abby, that they were going to the Justin Bieber concert in October.  Rachel was very excited!!!!  So, Rachel and I are going with Sheri and Abby... it should be a lot of fun!!!!  Looking forward to it. : )

[so neat]

Walleye Weekend Concession
I volunteered this afternoon in a Kiwanis concession stand from 2-6pm to support St. Peter Athletics.  I might be the only person that gets nervous to work a concession stand... but, I was truly nervous.  I ended up just having to wrap brats and hot dogs (yes, for 4 hours!)... so a very easy job.  It was actually fun and the time went very fast.

I feel like I'm forgetting something from the last few days... oh well, this is all I can remember for now.

Keep smiling!! : )
