lots of pool time with friends!

Yesterday Rachel and Eli had their first swimming lesson of the Summer.  They did great and no whining at all about going, which surprised me!  Eli said he didn't want to go the night before.  I told him that he had to go, so he could stop whining about it.  And, that was it.  Hoping the rest of the lessons go well.  They go twice a week for about a month.  Their friends are also in their class, which I think helps.

After swimming we had Ella and Blake over.  They are brother and sister that are the same age as Rachel and Eli... how nice is that! : )  They were over until mid-afternoon and played so hard the entire time!  Most of their time was spent in the pool and sprinkler.  I had so much fun watching them play.  I sat in the shade with Nate and Kate napped almost the entire time.  Of course, I had my camera with me and snapped a few pictures.  Well, I actually took about a hundred pictures... but, many action shots so only a handful actually turned out.  Here are some of them.

[no, he didn't really dive in!!  what cute form though... love it!]

[and, here they go... notice they're all holding hands - love it!]

[yes, there was still water in the pool after they all jumped in at the same time]

[the boys did some innocent wrestling ~ I let them have at it for awhile... think it's good for them]

[we consumed many freeze pops throughout the day... yummy!]

[love this picture!]

[here is Nate in his daddy's beer shirt... Mike made these iron-ons.
"Zim's TH" for Zim's Tow Hook beer... love it!

We were supposed to meet friends today at Mauthe Lake, but Nate spiked a fever last night (gone now), so I cancelled.  Figure the last place he should be is in the extreme heat today.  Rachel and Eli will be very bummed when they wake up.  But, this might have worked out for the better... it's supposed to be really hot out today.  Maybe even too hot to take a baby who won't be in the water the whole time to the beach.  We hope to get there soon though.  Now, what to do today?  Maybe the kids want to help me with laundry??? ; )

Keep smiling!
