We got there just in time for lunch, so we found a place to eat and had lunch...
Next, we walked to the lighthouse...
[Kate did great!]
[yes, I was nervous with them there... ; )]
We made it!! A nice citizen offered to take our picture... so nice. I didn't have the heart to ask him to take two pictures, so this one will do. A lot happening in this picture: Nate's crying (was windy up there), Eli's blinking and Kate's afraid because some random person has my phone and is taking our picture. Good times! : )
After that challenge, we walked back to the playground area. We took the path that went past the fountain and over the neat bridge...
[I like this one]
[this picture looks so carefree to me]
[this one just makes me laugh]
[one of my favorites]
Finally, the playground...
[Rachel trying to reach her shoe]
[Eli helping Kate...]
[and, Rachel helping Kate]
This afternoon we also went for a walk in the neighborhood. We took a net along to try to catch frogs in the ditch at the end of our road. Well, we got one! Eli was pretty excited about it... Kate and Rachel, not so much. : )
I had Eli let the frog go this evening. He was out there forever trying to let it go. He said it didn't want to leave. I told him he had to let it go and that if he just left the cover off the bucket it would just jump away. He didn't want to do that. He asked if he could take it across the street to the ditch that goes closer to the pond. I told him that was a good idea.
[looking for the perfect spot to let his frog go]
[froggy is free...]
This was a picture of Nate talking this morning. Love this look.
Keep smiling! : )
