no school and olivia

The kids had off of school today.  Our plan was to hang out this morning and then Olivia was coming just before lunch.  After that, we were going to head to Target so Rachel could spend a little bit of her birthday money.  She was very excited to do that.  Well, I didn't realize how much snow we'd get and decided driving in it, if not necessary, was kind of silly.  Rachel was very disappointed, but she got over it.  We are going tomorrow.

The kids were really good this morning.  They played very well together.  Olivia came and the kids were still all really good.  My kids love when Olivia comes over.  It was nice today, because Rachel and Eli were around... a lot of times when Olivia is here they're at school.

About mid-afternoon Rachel and Eli started to get crazy!  They asked to go outside and as soon as Olivia was gone they headed out.  Figured was a great way for them to burn off some of their energy!  Well, they usually play pretty well out there.  I check on them every once in awhile.  I looked out to see this shortly after they went out.  Yes, they're sliding down into a big puddle of water!  Here are a few pictures I took from inside...

So, that didn't last long.  They came in right after ~ soaking wet!!  We had some hot chocolate and that was that... still had crazy kids!

Next idea... have them help fold some laundry.  Well, they came into the kitchen like this... hilarious!!!  I could not stop laughing!  Had to grab my phone and get a picture.  Still cracks me up!!

They continued to be crazy.  I felt like I was constantly asking them to stop doing this and stop doing that... so, finally just let them run around!  Here is a video... Kate looks so funny running!
