Today was forecasted to be a wonderful day along with the next ten days! I've been thinking about getting a double stroller now for a few weeks and today's weather made me realize I should get on that, so I don't miss out on any good days of walking/running! I've been looking at different ones online after talking to numerous friends... and finally just did it! All six of us (family road trip) drove down to Brookfield and just got one. Brought it home and I've already used it! So glad we got it - I think it'll be great and will allow me to get some exercise even with four kids... sounds possible, but we'll see! : )
It felt so good to take a short run down the road... it's been so long!!! I really enjoy running and am looking forward to getting back into it.
[this is kind of a long story, but i wanted to remember it]
Tonight I put the kids to bed and Kate started crying in her bed after I walked out of her room. That happens sometimes and she usually will just fall asleep. Well, that is if Eli doesn't keep walking through her room. ; ) She was crying a bit and then quiet and then crying... I knew she'd just fall asleep because of the breaks in-between her crying. I started to feed Nate downstairs and here comes Mr. Eli. I was bummed that he walked through Kate's room... that meant he had to walk through again to get back to bed. I told him to go up and tell Kate that I was feeding Nate and that I'd come up when I was done. He tried that, but she wasn't having it. He left her room and walked back in to give her a keenex to wipe her running nose - so cute! Then he came back down and told me Kate wanted me now. I could see Kate in the baby monitor waiting for Eli to come back... it was cute. She was starting to lay her head down and I thought she might fall asleep. But, Eli still had to walk through to get to his room. Didn't want him staying up any later, so decided to have him go up, tell Kate is was time for bed and let her know he was going to bed, too. I told him to just go in his room even if she started crying (which I thought for sure would happen)... she would most likely fall asleep. He went up there and said exactly what I told him to say. Then he asked her if she wanted to be covered up. He went on her bed and covered her up and then said, "it's time for bed now Kate, okay?" she answered, "okayee" and laid down. then Eli went to bed and that was it. No more crying and she was asleep. Eli was such a big help!! It was so cute to watch him through the monitor... he was so good with her. Love him for that!
Keep smiling! : )
