Yes, this is Kate with a hula hoop caught in her hair! I had no idea this was possible, but I guess it is. She was trying to jump rope with the hula hoop and somehow her hair got caught. Thankfully, I was able to get it untangled. Yikes!
Kate likes to try make hearts, but struggles with them. She was on a roll the other day and was super excited about it!
We had Olivia's birthday party last weekend. Christy had an idea and asked if I could make Olivia a pillow for her birthday to take to daycare for nap time. I decided that would be fun and here's what I came up with. It's been awhile since I've made anything and I had a lot of fun with this. :)

So, I've been working on de-cluttering the basement and now that that is pretty much done Kate's room was next. Here are Nate and his friend, Briggs, "helping" me. Kate's closet was full of toys, clothes from Rachel's room that are actually still too big for Kate, sheets, blankets and tons of stuff. You'd think she had a walk in closet, but she doesn't… just that packed full!
Well, it was a tough fight, but I ended up winning… the closet lost! Her room is clutter free and her drawers were all gone through.
Here is what came out of her room:
-2 bins of sheets, bedding
-1 bin of baby blankets
-1 bin of clothes too big for Kate
-2 bags of clothes for cousin Nevie
-1 bag of stuff to be donated
-1 bag of garbage
-1 bin of legos for the basement
… this is just crazy to me!!! Felt so good to get through it all!
So, the really exciting thing happening now for us is that our basement is in the process of being finished!!! The kids miss our old house because the basement was finished there, so finally we're able to have the basement finished at this house. We are pretty excited!
The wood was delivered yesterday morning and they've been here working for the past two days. Making lots of progress. I can't wait!
Snow… just a few flurries today!
Kate had a field trip today to a local farm. It was chilly, but a nice time. Thank you to the Abel Dairy Farm for inviting us! :)

So, that's been what's happening here. Rachel and Eli are busy as always with basketball, jump rope, religion and school. I feel bad that I don't get many pictures of them, but they are also two huge reasons to smile for me. I'm very proud of them for all they do!
I actually had a message from someone saying that Eli is "always listening and very coachable." Makes me very proud.
