Sadly, this is what happens sometimes when your evenings are full of running kids all over town… corn dog to go in a cup. Ugh. We have so many peanut butter sandwiches… needed a change.
Had to take a picture of what appears to be our only left-hander. Papa will be proud. I'd have to say… Nate has been different from the other three kids in just about every way… starting from the moment he was born via c-section. ;)
Tonight was another evening in the car for, literally, hours. I had this brilliant idea to waste some time at TJ MAXX and just look around. Eli was excited to look at the toys. Well, we lasted about three minutes in the store. Nate was refusing to go in the cart… I thought, okay, I'll let him walk. Well, that didn't go well at all. Then Kate joined in the running all over the store fun. So, yes, about three minutes after we walked in the store we were heading out. I was annoyed and so was Eli, because he was excited to browse the toys. I felt bad because Eli wasn't doing anything wrong, but was being punished in a way and not able to do what he wanted to do. So, my answer… stop and get him ice cream. Kate and Nate weren't happy when they couldn't get any. Did they learn a lesson… who knows. Eli was happy though. But, then of course, Rachel gets in the car after basketball and hears that Eli got ice cream and was upset… just can't win sometimes.
I helped Rachel do a lot of studying for her Native American Quiz that was yesterday. She got a 24/25… I'm so proud of her!!
Keep smiling!
