and... the tree is decorated!

The kids and I spent Black Friday... decorating the tree!  I used to be into shopping early on Black Friday, but have lost my desire to experience it.  For awhile I actually got shopping done, then I moved to going just to go and experience it, then it was just to get out for awhile and now... well, it doesn't even sound that fun.  I did a lot of shopping online already and feel pretty good with where I'm at and didn't feel the need to brave the crowds.  Had a nice morning with my pumpkin spice coffee with pumpkin spice creamer instead. :)

I did go out this evening with Eli for awhile.  We were out of hand soap, so was a good excuse to get out for a bit.  Rachel was at a friends' house and Mike was going to be gone later tonight, so Eli and I took an opportunity to get out for a bit. :)  We got soap, browsed for a few things, looked to see what kind of trade in I could get for my phone and then had supper.  His choice... of course, McDonalds.  We were gone about two and a half hours.  It was a good time!

Then tonight, Eli and Kate were playing upstairs and Nate pointed to the fireplace and said "fire."  I said, yes, that's for a fire.  Then he motioned for me to go to the porch where we keep the firewood.  I asked him if he wanted a fire and he said "uh huh."  How cute... he wanted me to start a fire!  I have never done it on my own, but felt the need to at least try for him.  I've watched Mike plenty of times and knew it was easy.  I cautiously got it prepared and then started it.  It worked... yeah!  We have a wood burning fire place, with a gas ignitor option ~ super nice!  Here is Nate and I enjoying the fire... that he wanted.  Love.

[only thing needed is a tree skirt]

Keep smiling!
