sweet Kate and watching Evie

Well, Tuesday night Nate was a stinker... not sure if he had a tummy ache or what.  He cried and cried hard on and off for almost two hours when it was time for bed.  I tried everything and finally learned that if I laid him on the floor and rubbed his back he'd fall asleep.  At least for awhile.  He ended up waking up and I decided I was going to sleep with him in the chair downstairs.  He got up a couple times and cried, but after I rubbed his back he went back to sleep.  He had no interest in his bed.

Then at 5am Kate woke up crying.  Really, I thought?  Nate was finally sleeping.  Took Nate up and tried his bed and he actually went to sleep.  Whew.  Then I brought Kate down... carefully.  From laying in the chair for so long my hip was weird.  I could barely walk.  Kate asked me to get her some water and I had to explain to her that my leg hurt and that's why it was taking me so long to get it for her.  She was very patient.  Got her water, took her back to bed and then I went to bed myself... hoping I'd wake up and my hip would be better.

Thankfully, it was totally fine when I woke up.  Another, whew. ; )

When Kate woke up in the morning she was trying to tell me something.  I couldn't figure out what she was saying and asked her a few times to repeat it.  Finally, I got it... "Mom, does your leg feel better?"  How sweet... I wanted to cry.  Not sure if it was because I was that emotional over the comment or just sleep-deprived. ; )

We watched Evie on Wednesday and had so much fun!  She is so comfortable here now... yeah!!  Kate loves playing with her and Nate, well, he loves laying on her for some reason!  She'll be sitting there and all of a sudden he puts his head on her lap.  Evie just looks at me like... what is he doing?  It's funny!

I watch Evie once or twice a month.  Not much at all... would love to watch her more.  I offer to do this for my friends and expect nothing from them... it's my pleasure and it's fun for us.  The sincere thanks and appreciation that they give is worth way more than anything else.  We need more sincerely kind people like them in this world ~ it would be a much better place.

[Nate in a booster for the first time.  I'm not really comfortable with this yet... I was right by him the entire time.  But, he did look like a big boy.  I put him him in here for a small snack while I was feeling Evie in the highchair.]
