Home alone, Kate's 1st tattoo, Eli's friend & Shopping

My first day home alone...
Yesterday was my first day home alone.  As much as I truly appreciate all the help I've gotten the last two weeks I was excited to do some things for myself again!  I hit the two-week mark on Tuesday, so yesterday I was okay driving and I have also been lifting Kate when necessary (into highchair and crib for nap/bed.)

It was a great day!  Got some wash done, cleaned, washed floor, mailed Nate's birth announcements and caught up on most thank you cards.  Very productive day!!

Kate ~ 1st Tattoo
Yesterday Kate got her first tattoo!  She was pretty excited about it and has shown it to many people already.  Very big girl!

My Mom hung out with me today... was a nice time.  She brought my grandparents over this morning, so they could see the kids... well, most of them.  It's always nice to have them over... the kids give them both a reason to smile, which I think is important.

Eli ~ Friend
Eli also had his friend, Thomas, over this morning before school.  They had a great time!  Thomas had lunch here and then both got on the bus for school at our house.  That works out so nice!  Here are a couple pictures of them.  They didn't want their picture taken at all, so happy I got a couple at least.

After the boys were on the bus for school my Mom, Kate, Nate and I headed up to Oshkosh for some shopping.  We stopped at Hobby Lobby first and then went to the outlet mall.  Was looking for socks and pants for Nate.  Got a few things for him and a few other things that weren't on my list.  They had some great deals!  After we were done shopping we stopped to visit my sister.  Was nice to see her even if it wasn't for a long time.

Kate ~ Bedtime Update
The last two nights have been better for Kate.  I think a lot of it is because I woke her up the last two mornings.  I've had to because we need to drive Rachel down to the corner for the bus.  When people were here helping she could sleep in... and, she would sleep in until 8, 9 or even later sometimes.  That might have a lot to do with the problem we had getting her to sleep.  Didn't really think of that until now~duh!  Tonight she did cry for awhile, but did fall asleep eventually.  Hopefully we continue our good streak...

Keep smiling! : )
