baby arriving soon ~ and more...

Baby Update
Well, if you're not already aware, I found out earlier this week that our baby is in breech position.  The doctor tried to turn the baby (ECV), but it was unsuccessful.  I think room is limited in there now, so not much area to do any major turns.  Oh well.  That means I will have a c-section, which is planned for Wednesday the 11th already.  Having a c-section will be something new for me, but I have many friends who have already given me a lot of advice and words of wisdom... thank you all so much.

Wow... all of a sudden the end is very near!  I'm very excited and just a little nervous.  Would be nervous whether c-section or vaginal delivery though.  I'm very thankful to have all the offers to help already.  It is very nice to have so much family in town and some very nice friends. : )

The kids are very excited, which is to be expected!  Rachel wants a girl, but thinks it'll be a boy.  And, well, Eli wants a boy.  Kate has no idea what's about to happen, but I have no doubt she'll be a champ.  If not, oh well, we'll just deal with it. ; )

I've been nesting lately, which I love.  Wish I felt this motivated all the time!!  I already ordered Rachel's birthday party supplies and it's not until mid-Feb!  That is VERY unlike me!!  Just a few more days to take advantage of this... we'll see what I can all accomplish!

Funny things the kids said today:

Eli and clouds...
We were driving and there were some clouds in the sky.  Eli was saying that sometimes you can see shapes in the clouds.  Then all of a sudden he said, "like, there is a sink."  I asked him to repeat, because he couldn't have really said a "sink!"  But, sure enough, he did say that.  That cracked me up!

Rachel and pipe...
I was talking to Rachel about me having the baby and she was asking about me being in the hospital and stuff.  She does remember when I had Kate since it wasn't that long ago and she was old enough to remember.  She said, "so, will you have that pipe in your arm?"  I knew right away she was talking about my IV and told her "tube" would be a better way to describe it.  I tried hard not to laugh, but I did have to just a little bit!

Quote
One of my friends recently posted this quote that I absolutely love... had to share:

"We spend our lives dreaming of the future, not realizing that a little of it slips away every day."
~Barbara Johnson

Keep smiling! : )
