Here are some recent videos of Kate that I thought I'd share. Didn't share earlier, because forgot they were on my camera!
This is Kate trying to whistle with her fingers. For some reason it just cracks me up! We also captured some of her wave. She hasn't been waving like this as much and it makes me sad... it's just so cute! I think it's the happiest and most excited wave I've ever seen.
This is Kate doing some spinning. She does this a lot and sometimes can actually get herself dizzy!
And, lastly, Kate channel surfing. Wish I could have gotten the camera faster. Before I started recording she changed the channel two or there times... started on SpongeBob, then to Sports Center and back to SpongeBob... she must have found the recall button, but it was so funny! Almost seemed like she knew what she was doing!
Tot Spot
Today was a HOT one! We were inside most of the day. We did venture out early afternoon to go to the grocery store. Today was the first time I've done major grocery shopping at Festival Foods. I was nervous to go to a new grocery store, because I was so used to Pick N Save ad know where everything is there. But, Festival had some good deals, so figured I should just do it. I also told Rachel and Eli they could stay in the "Tot Spot" while I shopped. They were so excited about that! I gave them the option of either pushing the little carts or going in the kids area and thankfully they chose the kids area!! Not sure I could have handled them pushing those little carts all over the store. : )
When we were walking up to Festival Rachel tried reading the sign on the front "Tot Spot" and she mistakenly said "Toot Slot." Not sure why, but I thought that was so funny!!!! She was kind of embarrassed though when I laughed. I told her I wasn't making fun of her by laughing... said I just thought it sounded so cute. She told me she messed up because she was trying to read before she could see the letters clearly. Oops... guess I need to be more careful as not to discourage her.
They both did some coloring and they said the fish game was so fun, because it was slower than ours and the fishing poles were also shorter and easier to use. When I picked them up the girl said that they told her all about our move and that we were having another baby... too cute. I can't even imagine all the details Rachel probably shared!
Carpet Update
We have one more room left to carpet and that's Rachel's room. I am so excited for this all to be done! I'm tired of moving furniture, ripping up carpet/pad and pulling out staples. I'm sure Mike would agree with me! Next will be painting kids' rooms. They all have to be painted... not sure where we'll start. Guess we should start by picking colors. A plan is usually helpful.
The carpet in our room was done today. Feels good to have our room put back together. We also put a bunch of pictures up. Thanks to Mike for his motivation! I'm usually the motivator, but thankfully Mike has taken over that responsibility lately. If it wasn't for him nothing in this house would be done. I would totally support the fact that I've been very lazy lately. Not like me at all... I'm actually REALLY annoying myself!!!!
Chips
Mike and I had a snack tonight and I was shocked at what I saw as we got to the end of the bag of chips... not many crumbs! Usually there are so many broken, inedible chips at the bottom it's annoying. Well, this bag had very, very few broken chips. It was actually pretty crazy... I just had to share! : )
Keep smiling... : )
