First Night of Soccer
Eli had his first night of soccer on Tuesday. It was offered through the Rec Dept and there are five sessions. They teach them a lot about soccer skills the first two nights and then do some scrimmaging the last three nights. It's on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so day two is tonight.
He really enjoyed it and did great! He is sometimes very shy, so I'm never sure how he's going to handle things like this where Rachel is not involved. He did a great job of listening and following directions. He loved it.
Here are some pictures from his first night.
Visitors
We also had a visit from Cara, Meghan and Alayna yesterday. They stopped to see the house and to visit for awhile. Was very nice to see them. Kate and Alayna had fun looking at each other. : )
Camping... finally
Well, we finally have our first (and only scheduled) camping trip of the season this weekend. We are all looking forward to it! We're camping next to my sister and her family, so that'll be lots of fun! Wish it wasn't going to be so hot, but we'll find a way to manage. They have a lake and pool, which will be great to keep the kids who like water cool. Not sure yet about Kate. Might be a challenge keeping her cool, but we'll find a way. We'll either force her to like the water (okay maybe not), keep her in front of the fan or constantly take trips to the air conditioned store. Who knows! Now time to pack and grocery shop. Finally started my list... still lots more to do to get ready. Hoping for a very productive day today!
And, lastly... : )
We are finally able to share some news we've been excited about for several weeks. Mike and I are expecting our fourth child.. due Jan. 19. We are very excited and so are the kids! We told the kids yesterday and their reactions were very cute. Eli, of course, wants it to be a boy... Rachel thinks it's a girl and said "our house is going to be full of girls!"... Kate is also excited to be a big sister. Rachel is already wanting to think of names all the time. We plan to wait until the baby is born to find out if it's a boy or girl... that has been what we've done for all the kids. Fun, fun!
Keep smiling! : )
