We celebrated Kate's birthday last weekend! Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the day! First she got to go to Learn the Ropes. She was so sore from jumping for 3 hours, but enjoyed it!
And, her party!
[Mother's Day morning with my newest baby... :)]
On Mother's Day we went up to the cottage and Mike and I planned to put the pier in. We got a few sections in and then realized we were a couple poles short, so couldn't finish. Seeing even part of the pier out got me so excited for Summer!!
[Nate caught the first fish of the year this year. Eli got it last year.]
[Also including this picture, because you can't have too many pictures of kids with fish. Love.]
[tired kids...]
[kids with grandma on Mother's Day]
Mike and I went back up last week and finished putting the pier in! We have two extra sections making the platform bigger. Can't wait to sit out there and enjoy it!!
[this view never gets old...]
Eli, Kate and Nate all had their mile runs this week. I ran with Kate and Nate for encouragement... but, not with Eli... he's too fast for me!
Eli ~ 6:00
Kate ~ 8:50
Nate ~ 9:28
Proud of all of them!
Eli had to run the 400 in their 5th grade track meet. Unfortunately, the school didn't have any practices and he couldn't make either of the ones that a parent set up. So, I took him to a track a couple times before his meet. Wish I would have taken him there to practice more than just a few days before the meet. I think he could have really benefited from it. Oh well... two times was better than nothing.

[next time we stopped]
[During the actual race he got 1:13.??... huge improvement and just hundredths of a second from 1st place. So close! This picture is the finish. They both stomped their foot over the line at the same time, but his opponent crossed the line a split second before Eli. Proud of how much improved after running just three times.]
Nate wanted to type something on the computer... here is the start of his first document. Love watching him learn!!
Keep smiling!
