I also want to thank Mike for helping the kids pick out my new jacket (love!), for getting me more root beer syrup and for putting together the slideshow. I know he spent a lot of time on the slideshow and it was really neat and special. Had no idea there were that many pictures of me. I enjoyed seeing all the old ones with us and the kids growing up. I've been very blessed over the last 35 years... I'm so very thankful.
Here are a few pictures...
[our crew : )]
[the cake decorator - great job Rachel! it's hard to see, but it says "Shauna is 35" and it's decorated with festive M&M's - loved it!]
[me getting some help... Kate was also there, but out of picture range]
[my mom, Nevie, Nate and my sister]
[me and the kids]
I also have to point out one thing I noticed during the Packer game last night that stuck out to me. One of the Lions' receivers made a great finger-tip catch and along with replaying his great catch they also replayed the reaction of excitement from the receiver on the other side of the field. I noticed it immediately... they never show reactions of other players like that and I have to think it's because it doesn't happen too often. I feel like a lot of the players on the field mostly care about what they do individually. I know, I know... I might be wrong, but I really believe this. The other receiver seemed genuinely excited for his teammate ~ which I don't think happens a lot. It was great to see!
Have a great week and keep smiling!
