reading, biting and standing

Let's see... we'll do a good thing, a bad thing and a good thing.

Eli: Reading
Eli is starting to read and it's so cute and exciting!  I'm very proud of him and you can tell he's very proud of himself, too.  It's so cute.  He says Rachel taught him, which is also so precious.  Here is a picture of him with the first book he read.  He carries this around all the time.  [Granted a lot of it is memorization at this point... but, it's still cute and he does have to recognize words to day them.]

Kate: Biting... yes :(
Let's hope this was just a random thing that'll never happen again.  Her and Nate were standing up next to a toy playing a piano and all of a sudden Nate starts to scream.  I look over and he was just sitting there really sad and crying.  He didn't fall or anything... hmmm?  I asked Kate what happened and she said, "I put his fingers in my mouth."  I looked at his fingers and could see teeth marks on one of them. I put her in timeout immediately.  Then I went to talk to her to figure out why.  I think it was because he was playing the piano and she wanted to.  Oh boy.  No idea where she got this idea to bite, but hope it never happens again.  Poor Nate.

Nate: Standing
Nate was standing up for the first time in his crib yesterday.  It was so cute.  I went in there because I could hear him and when I opened the door he was standing there... VERY proud!  It was so cute!  You could tell he was very excited for us to see him standing there like a big boy.

Keep smiling!!
