Kate is a finalist in the You Are My Sunshine contest put on by a local radio station. Please click on the link below to "like" her photo. The child with the most "likes" in each category wins. The top prize is $300... would be very nice to get her college fund started. We have a good start for Rachel and Eli's college fund, but not so much for Kate and Nate yet. ; )

Eli ~ Spirit Week
This week was spirit week at Eli's school, which is always pretty fun for the kids. Here is Eli "spirited-up" each day...
[Monday: mis-matched day]
I struggled finding something to mis-match when all he usually wears are black or navy sport pants... hard to mis-match with those! Mike said what about wearing different shoes/socks... duh, never thought of that!
[Tuesday: pj day]
[Wednesday: take stuffed animal to school day]
[Thursday: sports day]
Nate ~ First antibiotic already
Nate has had a little cough the last few days, so thought I should call the doctor. Called at 4:00pm this afternoon and they could get him in already at 4:40pm, which I couldn't believe. Turns out he has an ear infection. There is also a chance he could have reflux, but we'll wait and see how he does after the antibiotic and once his ear clears up. It took Kate over a year before she was prescribed her first antibiotic and poor Nate just a few weeks. Guess he didn't have much of a chance when he was born when all of the kids were sick with something. I'll be really happy when everyone is healthy... I'm very much ready for Spring!
Rachel ~ Conference
I had Rachel's conference tonight. It was a very good meeting. Rachel is doing very well academically. The only area of concern, I guess you'd say, is related to talking. Problem is... Rachel is Rachel. Not much you can do to change that. We're still not sure where she got her out-going personality. Mike and I were both very quiet/shy when we were younger. She is high-energy and always has a lot to talk about. I guess she enjoys telling her teacher everything (including when I get new shoes) and some things she enjoys telling her more than once. That is just Rachel - hard to get her to change. She's the same way at home. She gets excited to tell people about everything that is new with her... and sometimes she tells the same people more than once. Her teacher did say Rachel is very kind to everyone in the class... that makes me very proud. : )
Eli and Nate
Here are some pictures of Eli when he was younger. It's crazy how much Nate looks like Eli. It's also funny to see Rachel and Eli when they were younger. Looks just like Nate and Kate now. It's like we're reliving the past... very weird!!

Visit from Lesa and Gavin
It as also very nice to have some visitors this morning. Gavin had fun playing with Eli and Kate and I enjoyed catching up with Lesa. Thanks, Lesa, for hanging out! : )

Keep smiling... : )
