We went to my parents' house to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was fun. I was watching Olivia Saturday afternoon/night, so she joined us for the fun. It was fun to have her hang out with us. : )
[Kate thought she was very cool on the motorcycle. She tried pushing every button to get it to go, but little did she know we didn't have the battery plugged in. : )]
[all the kids in the kitchen]
[the cake i made for my sister...]
[love this picture of Sheri]
[I might have gone a little over-board with the colors, but had fun!]
[me and the babies just hanging out]
[this little one was so tired... such a trooper though]
[had to get a few shots of this... she looked so funny!]
[got this for my sister for her b-day. i love it so much! i had a hard time giving it to her... i wanted to keep it for myself!]
Mike went to the Pearl Jam concert with Christy... they had a very nice time.
Sunday
Can't even remember... : )
Monday
Went to the Labor Day Parade in FDL with the kids and my Mom. It was a lot of fun. We also went to the park after and rode a couple rides for the last time this season. They had a picnic on Oven Island, too, so we hung out there for awhile to listen to the live music and have some lunch.
We went to the Zimmerman's for supper, which was also fun. It was fun to listen to how much fun Christy had at her Pearl Jam concert weekend. Had brats and corn... yummy! The kids were good entertainment as usual, too. : )
Tuesday: Second Day of School for Eli
Eli made a comment last night when he want to bed that he didn't want to go to school today. I tried to remind him about how much fun he had on Friday, but he wasn't having it. He was not excited about going at all. I thought for sure it was going to be a rough morning trying to convince him that school is fun and he really did like it when he was there. Had no idea how I'd get him on the bus if he didn't want to go and really didn't feel like dealing with a crying boy as the bus pulled up.
Well, he woke up with a different attitude... thankfully! He got his show 'n tell item ready right away and put it in his backpack with no mention about not wanting to go. He did make a comment to Rachel that he didn't want to go, but never made a fuss about it. We didn't talk about school the rest of the morning and as it got closer to school time for him (noon) he seemed excited about going. He went out to the bus with excitement again and had no problem going. Whew!
Tuesday: First Piano Lesson - Rachel
Today Rachel had her first piano lesson and she loved it! She will go every Tuesday evening. I'm so proud of her for doing this and am so happy she enjoys it. I never played an instrument and have no clue how to read music. She's going to have to teach me... and I know she'll love every minute of it!
Keep smiling! : )
