Here is Kate's reaction of being at her first concert and seeing Carrie Underwood for the first time! Around the minute mark is the best!
We had so much fun and made some great memories... some of them I don't want to forget:
- We grabbed McD's on our way out of town. Ate a cheap supper, so we had money for t-shirts.
- Trying to find parking... decided to pay $30 and be pretty close. That was after trying to find other parking in the area that didn't cost so much. I was too scared to park anywhere else.
- Rachel having to go to the bathroom so bad when we got there... we couldn't even get a picture by the buck outside the Fiserv. Boo.
- Kate in tears when we walked down to our very steep seats that were very high. Thankfully, once the lights were out she was fine. We even stood for most of the songs. Phew.
- Kate being hungry... which is pretty typical. In the arena she thought we should eat like at a sporting event. I decided to go out and get her food to ease her mind, but quickly realized there really wasn't much food available for sale. Mostly drinks. Ended up finding a bag of chips. Purchased the chips. Then decided she'd be thirty, so when I was ordering her a water she looked at the bag of chips and noticed it was expired. She is our expiration date checker. Ha! We got a refund for the chips and she ended up being okay without food. This was, however, confirmation that nobody buys food at a concert!
- Loved watching Rachel and Kate both sing almost every word to each song played.
- Me trying to figure out what size t-shirt to get! They were annoyed with me. Whoops.
- Leaving the parking ramp was not easy. Thankfully I have patience and used the opportunity to teach them both that it's usually easiest to just wait in your car for everyone else to leave and the congestion to clear. Something my parents taught me at the many Brewer games we went to. Let all the crazies go first. :)
- Our midnight stop at Kwik Trip for chocolate chip cookies + cappuccino (me), Pop Tarts (Rachel) and gummy bears (Kate).
Here are a few pictures of our fun evening!
Keep smiling!
