The stages we've gone through at Walleye Weekend are very distinct. It was the stroller days and the wagon days (both when all kids ran with their huge t-shirts on)... and then the old enough to not have a stroller, but we still needed snacks, etc for the little kids, so I would carry a bigger purse or bag. This year, no stroller, no wagon, a small purse AND some kids walked around without me.
Time... slow down.
[Kate lost tooth #10! Well, she pulled it out... not sure how ready it was! After she literally yanked it out she said "did I lose more teeth than Eli?" She is a little competitive. One more to tie Eli.]
[Our only runner this year! He ran the mile and got about 8:20. Proud of him and happy he wanted to run even though nobody else did. Yay, Nate!]
Rachel left for her 8th grade class trip to Washington DC on Saturday afternoon. Worked out so she could hangout at Walleye Weekend for awhile Saturday before she left. Happy about that. Definitely missed having her around the rest of the weekend.
[Sent this to our friend Gavin showing her support. 💗]
[Thanks, Sheri, for thinking to take this picture of Rachel and me before she left.]
[There they go! Can't wait to hear all about her trip!]
Then, back out to Walleye Weekend...
[Girls waiting in line for henna. Don't have a picture, but it turned out great! Definitely worth waiting an hour for. :)]
[Thanks, Nani, for the treat! And, for lunch... and for taking us to see the animals... and for just being great!]
[Can't not include this amazing picture!! And, this is why we love him!! Ha!!]
[Coming in after day one!]
[They got to walk the stage to collect their cash prize for 65th place! They did awesome!]
[SUPER PROUD of Mike and Tim!! This was their third year and they've learned so much! Love that they do this together! Congrats!]
This was last night... waiting in the car for Eli to get done with baseball. We went for a bike ride/run during most of the practice and then got back with about 20 minutes left. Kate and Nate found a bag of Frosted Flakes in the car... no idea when it was from. Not a good choice to eat in the car! Once I realized it I made them change where they ate it!
[I will be heading to the carwash at some point today!]
Keep smiling!
