So, this weekend was a little different than originally planned for many reasons...

Rachel: Was supposed to go to a birthday party Saturday afternoon/evening, but woke up sick early Saturday morning and had to miss the party. She was very bummed.
Eli: Wasn't feeling well either, but played basketball anyways. I was worried he'd get sick the entire time. The four games took a toll on him, so he just laid around the rest of the day. They did take third place though! It was fun to watch him play with some other kids in his grade. Bummed Ryan was sick though. Would have been fun to watch them play together. Great job, team!
Kate: Was supposed to go to a friend's house for a birthday sleepover Saturday and then a water park Sunday. She wasn't feeling 100% after Eli's basketball, so I kept her home from the sleepover. Didn't want to take the chance she was coming down with something... and spread her germs at the party. I told her if she felt okay in the morning I'd take her to the water park. She did feel better, so I took her there to meet her friends for the party. I hung out in Sheboygan for a couple hours to make sure she was good and then came home until it was time to pick her up. Worth the driving to have her with her friends, but not have to be in close contact with any of them in the car... just incase. :)

Nate: Has been lucky so far! Fingers crossed.
So, the positive in all this is we got to hangout at home together more than I was expecting... and do nothing of much, which is a nice change of pace.
We had a fire tonight and Eli was scared to get some wood from outside, so Kate had to go with him. She had to protect him from whatever creatures he was imagining under the screen room. This is true... I'm not making it up!
