For example, a song came on and Rachel said, "I LOVE THIS SONG!" Immediately, Eli says, "Mom." I ask him what he wants and Rachel yells, "Be quiet Eli!" Since I'm not sure if what Eli wants to tell me is important I turn down the radio and I ask Eli what he wants to tell me. Here it is... "Mom, next year at Walleye Weekend can you go to the end, because last year I didn't know where you were." Now that's important stuff that had to be said at that moment! How can he come up with things so quickly... and so random? Sorry, Rachel!
Rachel said something tonight that cracked me up. There were a bunch of bugs on the ceiling above the kitchen light. I explained that when we have that light on, the bugs all crowd on the patio door and then when we let Maggie out (no matter how quickly we do it)... they all swarm in. Rachel said, "yeah, they all go cross-eyed and just go to the light without even knowing what they're doing." For some reason I pictured that and it made me smile. : )
And, here are some pictures from today... very nice day!
[popsicle ~ CHEERS!]
[first time Nate had his own popsicle!]
[determined and a bit frustrated]
[yes, this is Kate pulling Eli!]
[I still let the kids on this toy even though it's just like the toy that gave me a small scar on my face almost 35 years ago! ; )]
[tired boy]
Keep smiling!
