Fun Friday... parade, mcd's, football game

Yesterday was a fun day!  We had Olivia and then met Christy at the old Goodrich for the Homecoming Parade.  We had the opportunity to be in the parade with the kids as "future cardinals."  It was pretty cute and fun.  The kids thought it was pretty neat.  They got shirts to wear also, which had their graduating date on them... love them!!  We had gotten them t-shirts last year, too - but, weren't able to make the parade.  They thought it was pretty neat to actually be in a parade. : )

[Kate's face made me laugh, so had to include this picture]

[love the back of the shirts]

The parade lasted about 30 minutes and Rachel pulled Kate the entire time... it was way cuter to have her pulling Kate than me. : )  Kate did great in the wagon.  Wasn't sure how she'd do, but there was enough for her to watch that she didn't even think about getting out.  She even did some waving to the people. : )

Next was finding a place to watch the Brewer game until it was time for the Fondy football game at 7pm.  Mike went with his parents, Christy and Olivia to Sully's, but I didn't feel comfortable taking the kids there... plus, that place is small and the kids would have been hard to control in there I'm sure.  McDonald's sounded way easier, so I chose that.  I was bummed that I'd miss the game, but not like I'd get to watch the game in Sully's either. ; )

We ordered our food and sat down and I realized they had TVs in there and the Brewer game was on!  Nice!!!  We could barely see the TV where we were sitting, so after eating a little of our supper we ended up moving to a table that had a better view of the TV.  Was pretty nice!  We ate our supper and then because we had more time to waste before the game got ice cream, too.  The kids were very good... it was fun!

We got to the Fondy game even in time to see the kick-off... not sure that's ever happened before!  The kids were pretty much wild at the game, which I blame on the ice cream.  They were running around everywhere.  Rachel had grass stains on her pants in about 5 minutes.  We did sit in the bleachers for awhile, which they did great with, but then went back down to the grass by Christy, Olivia and grandma.  The kids went on the track to watch the band during halftime... that was the stillest they were the entire time... they really enjoyed watching it.  The band did a great job!

We ended up leaving shortly after halftime.  I was pretty much pooped and ready to get home.  The kids probably would have run around and tackled each other all night, but I had had enough. : )

Got home, put the kids to bed... they all went to bed very well... and then I went to bed.  I was in bed before 9:30pm.  Felt kind of good! ; )

Lots more fun planned this weekend... birthday party, trip to Little Farmer, yet another Brewer game (no, not going to it) and a Packer game... fun!!

Keep smiling!
