So, how do I summarize a 6-day vacation? Not really sure how to, so will pretty much just post pictures from the week and call it an update. : )
I do want to point out a few things that made this vacation special for our family:
1) Rachel tubed alone! Mike was on with her and after they were on for awhile he let go, so Rachel would be on alone. As he figured... she loved it! :)
2) Eli cut his first worm in half with his fingers.
3) Kate caught her first fish!
I took 400 pictures exactly... just finally got through them all and here are the ones I consider my favorites. Tried to capture what we did most of the time to keep busy: boating, fishing, tubing and swimming. The weather was beautiful, so we were outside almost the entire time. The kids had a blast! It was even more relaxing than I was expecting... thanks to wonderful helpers. I got to spend about an entire hour on a floaty... it was so nice!
[Olivia in splashing in the hot tub]
[thought Rachel looked way too old in this picture!]
[Rachel pulling Eli around... he was not happy to be on the floaty!]
[the little girls were troopers with their life-jackets...]
[they did way better than i thought... but, it did get old after awhile]
[they spent a lot of time trying to clip this life-jacket... whatever works to keep them busy, right?]
[Eli catching one of many, many fish]
[Rachel helping Olivia walk]
[Rachel tubing all by herself for the first time!]
[Grandma with her grandkids on her 60th birthday, which we celebrated at the cottage]
Great memories!
And, I have to leave with a funny quote that Rachel had tonight... Eli came to sit next to me tonight on the chair while watching the Brewer game and I warned him that my legs were a little hairy (not sure why I'm admitting this to my blog readers!)... he usually comments on it, so I wanted to beat him to it. Rachel overheard and said, "mine are soft hairy and yours are hard hairy." That gave me a laugh. That poor girl has really hairy legs... : )
Keep smiling!
